ALL about Mrs. lau
Hi, my name is Jahna Lau. I was born and raised in Pupukea on the beautiful North Shore of 'Oahu. Growing up in the country gave me the opportunity to help out on our family fruit farm. I am the middle of three girls, and my sisters and I would ride our horses daily on the hiking trails in back of the forest/mountains. We were involved in many horse related activities which included: 4-H horse shows where we competed both in English and Western, Vaulting Team (gymnastics on horseback), and rode as color guards in front of all the Polo players at Mokuleia Polo Fields before the Sunday matches. Living so close to the "BEST BEACHES" in the world, we were able to go surfing,boogie-boarding, and jump off the famous "rock" at Waimea Bay. I was very fortunate to travel with my family to many different places across the globe. These included 13 countries in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and 49 states. We traveled on a low budget sleeping at times in an RV, youth hostels, and tents. Growing up in a close knit family, I have many fun filled memories.
I graduated from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching here at Daniel K. Inouye Elementary School for the past 5years.
In my freetime, I love spending time with my husband and three children at the beach. I love to travel, sing karaoke, and talk story with family and friends.
